Obituary: Lucy (Carcieri) Massemino, 97

Lucy (Carcieri) Massemino, 97, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday August 8, 2013 at Charlesgate Nursing Home in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Pasco Massemino. Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Esperanza (Mazzarella) Carcieri.

Lucy was a volunteer at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, Cranston and was honored by the Rhode Island Health Care Association, who named her their 2003 Distinquished Volunteer of the year. She was also a faithfull communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Cranston.

She was the devoted mother of Lucille Massemino of North Scituate; and dear sister of the late Eugenia DeCubellis, Elsie Narducci, Romilda Petrucci, Olympia Massemino, Mario, Domenic, Joseph, Victor and Michael Carcieri.

Her funeral was held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church 1525 Cranston, St. Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
