
Raymond F. Farrell, 87, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. He was the husband of the late Angela (DiScuillo) Farrell. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George and Amilia (Marchak) Farrell. Mr. Farrell was a Navy Veteran, Seaman, First Class, serving in WWII and was employed as a hoister engineer in the construction industry for many years until his retirement. Raymond was a professional baseball player with Local 57, an avid Red Sox Fan and golfer.
He is survived by his daughter Karen A. Farrell-Laurenzo and her husband John C. Laurenzo of Cranston. Raymond was the brother of George Farrell of Cumberland and the late John “Jiggs” Farrell.
His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco Church, Atwood Ave., Johnston at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
