Robert Tamboe, 80, passed away December 23rd peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his former wife Ann (Capasso) Tamboe; father of Paul, Mark and Robert Jr. and Diane DeSimone; 5 loving grandchildren; and his dedicated companion Sandra Williams.
Family and friends were his pride and joy. He was a dedicated firefighter and retired as a Lieutenant, serving over three decades with the Providence Fire Department. He also had served in the Air Force.
Visitation will be held Friday, 4-7 p.m. with a funeral on Saturday at 8 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence, followed by burial with military honors in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
