Obituary: Vincent D. Slavin, 74, 25-Year DOT Employee

Vincent D. “Benny” Slavin, 74, of Cranston passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 31, 2015.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincent and Irene (Piechocki) Slavin. He worked for the state of RI Department of Transportation for over 25 years before retiring in 2006.

He was the former husband and dear friend of Cheryl Slavin, the loving father of Vincent Slavin, his wife, Kim, of St. Charles, Missouri and two daughters, Odina Slavin and Karen Slavin of Cranston. He was also a soon to be grandfather. Vincent enjoyed spending time with his favorite dogs, Ollie and Emma and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
