
Vito M. Calise, 90, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013. The beloved husband of Arleen S. (Frechette) Calise and the late Dora (Colarusso) Calise. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giovanni G. and Argentina (Taglione) Calise and stepson of Marie Jeanette Calise.
Vito was a WW-II Army POW veteran. He was the owner and operator of the former Oaklawn Food Liner of Cranston for many years before his retirement.
Vito was an avid golfer and a member of the Alpine Country Club.

Besides his wife he was the devoted father of John J. Calise and Lauren J. Bianca; loving grandfather of three; and loving great-grandfather of one; and dear brother of Phyllis Stacey.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Kindly omit flowers.
