Panera Bread at 5 New London Ave. is busy preparing for a smooth transition as it relocates to 4000 Chapel View Blvd. on Monday, Sept. 14th

Cranston, RI, September 4, 2015 — Panera Bread at 5 New London Avenue in Cranston, the first Panera Bread built in Rhode Island and the first bakery-cafe opened by Panera franchise the Howley Bread Group, is busy preparing for a smooth transition as it relocates just down the road to 4000 Chapel View Boulevard and opens its doors for its customers on Monday morning, September 14th. The last day the original Panera Cranston will be open is Saturday, September 12th (neither cafe will be open on Sunday, September 13th).

The new 4,836 square-foot, 117-seat bakery-cafe, with 24 additional seats on an outside patio, will feature the welcoming interior design for which Panera Bread is known. It will also be only the second Panera in the state to include a Drive-Thru. The re-location represents 25 new jobs for the area.

“We’re excited about moving into our new cafe and offering a convenient Drive-Thru and ample parking to our customers,” said Rob Bennett, General Manager of Panera Bread Cranston. “We encourage everyone to stop by and help us celebrate our relocation and our 15th year in Cranston.”
