PawSox Plan 4-Day Farewell Celebration
Now's your last chance to dine on the diamond.

PAWTUCKET, RI — In honor of their 50th anniversary season and as a farewell to their city that's been their home for decades, the Pawtucket Red Sox are holding a weekend-long celebration at McCoy Stadium.
The celebration will kick off Oct. 15, with the inaugural PawSox Foundation Golf Classic, presented by Navigant Credit Union at Pawtucket Country Club. Registration for the event is full, which will support community organizations in need.
Friday will feature more seatings of the popular "Dining on the Diamond," which allows fans to snack on classic park food on the field, soaking in a unique view of McCoy. The weekend seatings have been wildly popular since the program's launch in May. There will be another round of seating Saturday, offering fans one last chance to enjoy a meal on the outfield.

Saturday night will see the return of a McCoy favorite: a scout sleepover under the stars. Boy Scouts with the Narragansett Council will watch a baseball movie, enjoy signature snacks and camp out on the outfield.
Throughout the weekend, the team will also celebrate the longest game in professional baseball history, the 33-inning marathon played at McCoy in 1981.

The weekend will wrap up with a community Unity Fest, held in collaboration with Black Lives Matter Rhode Island. The event will celebrate racial justice and equality, and raise awareness about the forthcoming African-American Innovation Center in Pawtucket, a first-of-its kind charter school in New England.
