Police Looking for Car Stolen from Man Found Dead in Cranston
Police are looking for a silver Chevrolet Impala that belonged to the man found dead in a Farmington Avenue apartment this morning.

Police are on the lookout for a silver Chevrolet Impala with Rhode Island registration No. F-665 that belonged to the man found dead in a Farmington Avenue apartment on Tuesday morning.
Cranston Police Chief Col. Michael J. Winquist said in an interview that the car was taken from the scene and anyone who has seen the car is asked to call police right away.
Winquist said the man, who remains unidentified, was found dead earlier this morning at around 11:55 a.m. after members of the Cranston Fire Department gained entry to the apartment at the request of the victim’s sister.

The family had not heard from the man for several days and police were called once he was found.
The apartment was then secured, Winquist said, and police obtained a search warrant to go back in and process the scene.

At the scene, police found evidence that included the victims condition and ”the nature of the apartment” that were suspicious and the death could possibly be ruled a homicide, Winquist said.
“We are working this investigation, we’ve got several detectives working leads and we’re waiting for the [state] Medical Examiner to give us a further determination on the exact cause of death,” Winquist said.
