Rhode Island Board Of Elections Moving To New Cranston Offices
The department will begin operation at 2000 Plainfield Pike on February 10.

CRANSTON, RI — The Rhode Island Board of Elections is headed to a new home. Starting Feb. 10, the department will relocate to new offices at 2000 Plainfield Pike in Cranston.
The new facility will include a state-of-the-art multipurpose room made for hearings, training sessions and post-election audits, larger mail-ballot processing facilities, new offices for administrators and 50,000 square foot of climate-controlled, secure warehouse space.
The board is in charge of all elections in the state, including storing and maintaining 610 voting machines, 590 ballot-marking devices for those with disabilities, 1,600 electronic pollbooks, 5,000 voting booths, 100 ballot-on-demand printers, official ballots and other sundry election supplies.

The board is also in charge of enforcing the state's campaign finance laws, requiring candidates file all financial information and conducting audits as needed.
