RI Man Caught With 1,400 Child Porn Pictures Sentenced To Prison
David Duquette, 54, was caught by an undercover agent he thought were the parents of a 13-year-old girl.
SCITUATE, RI — A Rhode Island man was sentenced to five years in federal prison Tuesday after admitting to sharing pornographic pictures of teens girls online.
David Duquette, 54, of Scituate, pleaded guilty on Nov. 29, 2021 to possession of child pornography and distribution of child pornography. Following his prison sentence, Duquette will be on probation for eight years, according to officials with the Rhode Island District of the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The investigation into Duquette began in February 2019. An undercover Homeland Security agent posed as both the father and mother of a 13-year-old girl and spoke to Duquette online. During the exchange, Duquette admitted he communicated with teen girls online and got some of them to share sexually explicit images.

The agent suggested he too shared an interest in viewing child pornography. Duquette then sent him two explicit pictures of prepubescent girls.
Duquette was arrested on April 17, 2019. Federal authorities found about 1,400 pictures of child pornography on his phone.
