RI T.F. Green Airport Lockdown Lifted
Authorities have determined there is no credible security threat at T.F. Green International Airport, officials said at 12:39 p.m. Friday.

WARWICK, RI — Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport in Warwick has lifted the lockdown put in place Friday so authorities could address a potential security threat, according to airport officials.
Law enforcement has determined there is no credible security threat at the airport, officials said at 12:39 p.m. Friday.
Officials are urging travelers to check with their airlines regarding potential delays.

"The Rhode Island Airport Corporation would like to thank the R.I. State Police, Warwick PD, DHS, TSA, and all others who assisted the RIAC Airport Police in investigating a potential security concern," the airport wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, in an update at 1:18 p.m. "We appreciate the patience of all travelers as airport operations resume."
Rhode Island T.F. Green Airport first announced the precautionary lockdown at 11:35 a.m. No additional information about the nature of the apparent security threat was immediately disclosed.

Various law enforcement agencies were involved in the T.F. Green investigation and were conducting a search of the parking lots.
The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said just after 11 a.m. that all traffic lanes on Airport Connector eastbound at exit 1A were blocked off. They were declared cleared at 12:49 p.m.
