Robbery and Carjacking Suspect, Jerry Cintron, Arrested in Conn.
Jerry Cintron was wanted by Cranston police after he robbed a salon and carjacked a vehicle with a mother and baby inside on March 29.

The man who allegedly robbed a city hair salon and carjacked a vehicle with a mother and her baby inside on March 29 has been arrested in Connecticut.
Cranston Police Chief Col. Michael J. Winquist said that members of the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Norwich Police Department and the New Haven Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Jerry Cintron, 33, on Tuesday.
Cintron was arrested without incident at a Walmart in Lisbon, Conn., and was arraigned today as a fugitive from justice in the Norwich Courthouse where he waived extradition.

Cranston detectives will take Cintron into custody on Friday to be brought back to Rhode Island for arraignment on robbery charges.
Cintron allegedly robbed the Shear Dimensions Salon at around 9 a.m. on a Sunday morning. He fled on foot and came upon a car parked on nearby Knollwood Avenue parked with its engine running.

Inside was a woman and her infant and Cintron had her drive south on Reservoir Avenue before it stopped near 1200 Reservoir Avenue.
Cintron then got into a green BMW and was last seen driving north on Reservoir Avenue.
Cranston police released pictures of Cintron and a detailed description of his BMW, a tattoo and blotchy pigmentation around his mouth and fingers on April 5 after they identified him as a suspect.
Cintron has a lengthy criminal history and was considered armed and dangerous before his arrest. Court records show that he has been arrested more than 40 times on charges including narcotics possession, carrying a pistol without a license, receiving stolen goods, robbery, breaking and entering, possession of a stolen vehicle, assaulting a correctional officer while incarcerated and about a dozen charges of driving with a suspended license
Cintron has never served more than three consecutive years in prison.
