Sally Hersey installed as 111th President of the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS
Local REALTOR installed as President of business group

Sally Hersey, a sales associate of Williams & Stuart Real Estate in Cranston, RI, was installed as the 111th President of the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS® on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Squantum Association in East Providence. She previously served as the Board’s President-Elect, Treasurer and Corporate Secretary. She currently serves on the Board’s Executive, Finance, Nominating and Shared Services Committees. Ms. Hersey is a Director of the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS®. She will assume her role in November 2017. The following Officers were installed as well: President -Elect Agueda Del Borgo of Places & Spaces Realty in Providence & Treasurer & Corporate Secretary, Don Parsons of Anytime Realty in Johnston.

At its Annual Meeting, the Board also recognized its 2017 REALTOR® of the Year Don Parsons and honored Sally Lapides, President of Residential Properties, Ltd., and Joyce Phipps, Broker of Phipps Realty, with the REALTOR® Emeritus Award. This award recognizes a member of the Association of forty years or more who has also provided dedicated service as a volunteer of the organization. Lastly, the 2017 Lear Award was presented to Ann M. Shackford. This award is presented by the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS® annually to a member who has actively volunteered with the Board for the betterment of the Association and industry. Mrs. Shackford is a Broker Associate with RE/MAX Preferred in North Providence, RI.
