On Thursday, June 9, at the Save The Bay Center overlooking Narragansett Bay in Providence, Save The Bay will hold its annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. and Taste of the Bay fundraising event immediately following, from 7-9 p.m. The annual meeting, which begins at 5:30 p.m. will include presentation of Save The Bay’s annual environmental awards. Taste of the Bay begins just after the annual meeting, from 7-9 p.m. Both are open to all community members.
Taste of The Bay is a festive sunset celebration of the flavors, sights and sounds of Narragansett Bay. Guests enjoy delicious food and beverages from local restaurants, shell fishermen, bakeries, breweries, and wineries, all while surrounded by the beautiful upper Narragansett Bay and the musical sounds of Rhode Island favorite Bob Tomassone. The annual fundraiser also features raffle gift baskets and gift cards provided by favorite local food trucks, restaurants, entertainment and businesses. Guests are also welcome to attend the organization’s annual meeting at 5:30 pm, during which Save The Bay will present its annual environmental awards.
Save The Bay is welcoming some 30+ Rhode Island vendors to the event this year, including RI Shellfisherman’s Association, Wright’s Farm, PVD Donuts, McGrath Clambakes, 401 Oyster Company, Matunuck Oyster Bar, The Granny Squibb Company, Narragansett Beer, Foolproof Brewery, Bottles Fine Wines, Bucket Brewery, Grey Sail Brewing of RI, Gooseneck Vineyards, Julian’s and many others.

“Taste of the Bay is a fantastic event that really highlights the bounty of Narragansett Bay and Rhode Island. Tickets for Taste of The Bay can be purchased, and a full list of vendors and sponsors found at savebay.org/taste. The event will be held at Save The Bay’s headquarters at 100 Save The Bay Drive in Providence. A shuttle will transport guests from the Johnson and Wales University parking lot to the Bay Center.
