Serial Murderer Craig Price Stabbed Florida Inmate, Corrections Department Alleges

Craig Price's Florida victim was reported in stable condition Wednesday afternoon, according to J.R. Ventura, RI Corrections Department.

CRANSTON, RI — Craig Price, who became notorious in the 1980s as The Warwick Slasher, allegedly stabbed an inmate in a Florida prison where he has been incarcerated. J.R. Ventura, spokesman for the Rhode Island Corrections Department, confirmed the assault happened on Tuesday. The victim was reported in stable condition Wednesday afternoon at a Florida hospital.

The Florida Department of Corrections is investigating the case, Ventura said.

Price was sent to a maximum security prison in Florida as part of an exchange. Ventura did not want to comment on any possibility Price might be headed back to Rhode Island.
