Shakespeare in the Library in Cranston

Once a month, readers and performers can share one of the Bard's works, according to the William Hall Library.

CRANSTON, RI—Author Michael Willhoite will lead a series of readings, dubbed “Shakespeare in the Hall,” at William Hall Library.

Once a month, this series invites readers and performers of all experience levels to join a shared reading of a Shakespearean work. The next reading, Much Ado About Nothing, will take place on Tuesday, March 14 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The series is perfect for a library, explains Branch Librarian Adrienne Gallo-Girard.

“The combination of literature and community makes for a terrific library program," she said.

According to the library's press release, attendees are invited to either bring their own Shakespeare collections to read from, or to contact the William Hall Library (401-781-2450) to reserve a copy ahead of time. Readers may choose to read entire soliloquies, or limit their reading time to a mere line.

“Shakespeare in the Hall” will continue to meet on the second Tuesday of every month. This series is free and open to the public.
