"Solving the Mysteries of the Little Valise," A HERCRI Event at Cranston Public Library
The Holocaust Education and Resource Center of Rhode Island will present this free lecture at the Cranston Public Library on Sunday, Nov 22
Join the Holocaust Education and Resource Center of Rhode Island at the Central Library on Sunday, November 22 and learn the story of one family’s struggle to evade the Nazis during their rise to power in Austria and Germany.
The family’s efforts included sailing on the MS St. Louis, the famed “Voyage of the Damned,” a German ship carrying more than 900 Jews to Cuba where they were refused entry, and then to the U.S. where they were again denied refuge. The lecture begins at 2:00 PM.
This presentation is part of the Victor Baxt Lecture Series, presented by the Holocaust Education and Resource Center of Rhode Island.
