"Taiwan Sublime" Explores Cultural Wonders of Treasure Island
The exhibit runs until June 30.

We previewed this exhibit in April when it showed at the William H. Hall Library. Taiwan Sublime is now being featured at the Central Library daily until June 30. You can find it in the main meeting room. It's sponsored by the Taipei Economic and Culture Office in Boston, Mayor Allan W. Fung and the Cranston Public Library
will be host to a unique exhibit that provides a glimpse into the visions of four photographers who have crisscrossed the unique country of Taiwan, known as the Treasure Island.
Entitled "Taiwan Sublime, Four Photography Masters' Visions of the Treasure Island," the exhibit comprises four series of photos taken by Taiwanese photographers who wanted to create "a record of its natural and human wonders," according to a release.

"The City of Cranston is excited to be hosting such a unique cultural event at one of our libraries. We are proud to be exhibiting the work of these Taiwanese artists as well as enjoying other cultural performances and crafts. This is an excellent example how Cranston continues to showcase diversity and open up our doors to the world." said Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung. "I would like to thank both the library staff and the officials from Taiwan for working together in order to make this event possible."
An opening reception and cultural show will took place in April at the . The event will feature performances of traditional line dances, folk dances, and drums. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn traditional arts and crafts through short demonstrations of lantern making, and paper cutting. Selections from the “Taiwan Sublime” exhibit will also be on display. Food and refreshments will be served. This is event is FREE and open to the public.
