Traffic Alert: Dual Crashes On I-95 North Cause Major Backups
The two crashes happened on I-95 North at Exits 15 and 18.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A pair of late-afternoon crashes have slowed the northbound commute on Interstate 95 on Wednesday. The crashes in Warwick and Providence slowed traffic and closed several lanes.
According to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, the first crash happened near Exit 15 at Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick, blocking the right-side shoulder.
The second crash happened a little further North at Exit 18, Thurbers Avenue, in Providence, closing the right-center lane.
