Two Cranston Soccer Players Commit to URI Team
Alex and Ari Stanton, both Cranston West grads, are part of the 2012 recruiting class of newcomers for the University of Rhode Island soccer program and have signed letters of intent for the fall semester.

Alex Stanton - D - 5-3 - Cranston, R.I./Cranston West
Before URI: Four-year letterwinner in soccer while participating in track & field for three years…Along with her twin sister Ariana, captained her Cranston West squad as a senior…Was a 2010 First Team All-Division and 2011 Second Team All-State honoree…Played club soccer with the R.I. Rays (2004-08), Fortuna (2008-11), and Tidal Waves (2011-present)…Member of the National Honor Society.
