Video Shows Road Rage in Cranston Police HQ Parking Lot
Seven people -- including two juveniles -- have been charged after a dispute over the sale of a used car boiled over at police headquarters.

Cranston Police didnβt have to travel very far after arresting seven people in connection with a used car sale that boiled over into a dispute and road rage incident on Thursday afternoon.
Thatβs because the road rage happened in the police departmentβs own parking lot off Garfield Avenue.
Police on Monday released security camera footage that shows a group of people chasing and nearly getting struck by an Acura being driven by Jose Escalante, 22, of 29 Smith St., Cranston.

Escalante was trying to flee from a group of people who had chased him after the dispute over the car sale, which occurred on Farmington Avenue.
Police said that around 3:45 p.m. officers were dispatched to 493 Farmington Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Police learned that Terry, Luongo, 18, of 88 Unit St., Providence, had been assaulted as a result of a dispute over the sale of a car and the suspects had fled the scene in an Acura.

At around 4:45 p.m., police watched as a Nissan Maxima pursued the Acura into the front parking lot of the police station.
As the Maxima, driven by Terry Lee Jones, 39, of 21 Searle St., Providence, parked at the entrance in an attempt to prevent the Acura form leaving. He got out of the car along with Luongo, Dontez Lamore Towns, also of 21 Searle St, and two juveniles, who βran aggressively towards the Acura,β police said.
Escalante then accelerated in reverse at a high rate of speed and nearly stroke Jones and the others charging his car
Lungo and Towns βintentionally struck the Acura with their feet and hands as it passed by them,β police said. Escalante then accelerated forward out of the parking lot, almost striking two vehicles that were also exiting. It was later learned that some of the occupants of both vehicles were the same individuals that were involved in the assault on Farmington Avenue.
Also at the scene was Jean C. Hernandez, 19, of 28 Lawrence St., Cranston, who was charged with disorderly conduct along with Luongo, Jones, Towns and Escalante. Escalante was also charged with reckless driving.
The juveniles were also charged with disorderly conduct and were released to the custody of their parents.
