Wanted Cranston Man Arrested At Homeless Shelter: Cops

CRANSTON, RI — A wanted Cranston man was arrested by state troopers responding to a report of a disturbance at a homeless shelter, police said.

Ayomide Onajide, 25, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Monday on a warrant charging him with simple assault and/or battery, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Onajide was arrested by troopers responding to a disturbance at Harrington Hall homeless shelter, according to the release.

Onajide was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and "held overnight as a bail violator pending arraignment at Third Division District Court," the release said.
