The Cumberland Village, the local arm of The Village Common of Rhode Island (TVCRI), invites you to join us at the Cumberland Safety Complex Community Room, 1379 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 16th to learn how you can become a neighborhood volunteer. You’ll hear more about how you can help older residents of Cumberland to live independently in their homes for as long as their health enables them to do so.
The Cumberland Village follows a “neighbors helping neighbors” model—connecting volunteers with members who need transportation, assistance with errands, basic tech support, light household help, and companionship. If you want to make a difference in the lives of people right here in your community, this is the volunteer opportunity you have been waiting for.
No registration is necessary. Light refreshments will be served.
Anyone interested in volunteering can preview the volunteer application form on the TVCRI website: villagecommonri.org or may contact the TVCRI office at 401-228-8683. Visitors can also explore the site to learn more about TVCRI’s statewide mission.
We hope to see you at the meeting on May 16th.
