CUMBERLAND, RI — The investigation of an 18-year-old's death in June uncovered no sign of criminal activity, police said.
Angelina Rocha was found dead in a residence on Barrown Street near Minerva Avenue early in the morning of June 6, the police said at the time.
"The Cumberland Police Department, in consultation with the State of Rhode Island's Office of the Medical Examiner, has concluded their investigation into the matter and did not find any criminal activity present," police said in a media release.
"As was stated back in June, our collective thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends and loved ones of Ms. Angelina Rocha," Cumberland Police Chief Matthew Benson said in the release.
"This was a very tragic situation for all involved and I am glad that we were able to provide the family with some understanding and closure as to what happened that evening," Benson said.
