Cumberland Woman Charged With Abusing Young Son: Cops (patch.com) — A woman from Cumberland has been charged with second-degree child abuse after Woonsocket police reviewed video of her striking her young son at a local motel. The child was treated at Hasbro Children's Hospital, and officers documented visible injuries while the mother was later located nearby and arrested.
