Acclaimed Writer Visits East Greenwich Thursday for Signing, Reading

Stewart O'Nan will read from and sign copies of his latest novel, "West of Sunset."

Acclaimed author Stewart O’Nan is in town and he’ll be at Symposium Books on Thursday night for a book signing and reading from his latest novel, β€œWest of Sunset.”

O’Nan, an award-winning writer, is widely known for the novel β€œWish You Were Here” and has also penned β€œSnow Angles,” β€œA Prayer for the Dying,” β€œLast Night at the Lobster,” and β€œEmily, Alone.”

A Pittsburgh, PA, resident, O’Nan has been named one of America’s Best Young Novelists by Granta.

β€œWest of Sunset” was published earlier this year and met with immediate approval from critics.

It’s a story about F. Scott Fitzgerald’s waning years in Hollywood and a touching and ”deeply personal portrait of a flawed man who never gave up in the end, even as his every wish and hope seemed thwarted,” according to the book’s summary.

O’Nan will be at Symposium Books beginning at 6 p.m.
