A great big fighter always beats a great smaller fighter... there should be NO rematch.
Q: Investorideas
In terms of your production company, itβs Incredible that you have six films being released over the next 12 months! How is this possible and what can we expect next?
A: Chad A. Verdi
Itβs been a crazy time for my wife Michelle and I. We just wrapped βBleed for Thisβ in December and I just got back from Taiwan where βSilenceβ is being filmed, so yes it is nuts -but all good. βBad Hurtβ just premiered at Tribecca, βWhat a great filmβ and we expect that film to be released later this year. βAlmost Mercyβ will be released in late May, then βTen Thousand Saintsβ starring Ethan Hawke, Hailee Steinfeld and Emile Hirsch will hit theaters this summer. We expect βWar Pigsβ starring Mickey Rourke and Dolph Lundgren to be released in theaters in early October. In 2016 we have βBleed for Thisβ, starring Miles Teller and Aaron Eckhart and then βSilenceβ that features Andrew Garfield, Liam Neeson, Adam Driver and CiarΓ‘n Hinds being released. So yes, crazy, busy and very exciting!
Q: Investorideas
I was told that the budget for Silence is over 50 million dollars and that you helped put the financing together. Is that correct and why were you so involved?
A: Chad A. Verdi
Yes, the budget is in that price-range and yes, I played an important role in bridging the financing needed that helped close the final financing deal. This project has been a passion project for Marty (Martin Scorsese) for over 20 years now. It was very, very important to Michelle and me that we support him and Emma Tillinger Koskoff, our producing partners, and make this film happen.
Q: Investorideas
How many films have you been involved in with Marty and Emma and what does the future look like?
A: Chad A. Verdi
We executive-produced βBad Hurtβ with Emma - we love, love this film, then we executive-produced βThe 50 Year Argumentβ with Marty (now airing on HBO). Next we produced βBleed for Thisβ with both Marty and Emma involved and we repeated this with βSilenceβ. Funny that you asked about future projects and working with the two of them in the future. We spoke about this in Taiwan. Michelle and I would love to be involved with them in the future and our goal is to executive-produce βThe Irishman β and βSinatraβ if possible.
Q: Investorideas
Wow, βThe Irishmanβ stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci and βSinatraβ stars Leonardo DiCaprio β does it get much bigger than that!
A: Chad A. Verdi
No, it does not and as I stated, we would be proud to be involved. Even without those films, our plate is full until the end of 2017. Sorry, time to go, need to screen the next cut of βBleed for Thisβ now and give notes.
