Cole Middle School Drama Club Presents James and the Giant Peach, Jr.

The award winning Cole Middle School Drama Club performs “Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach Jr.” on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00 PM. and Saturday, February 4th at 4:00 PM the High School Auditorium. A delightfully offbeat adaptation of the classic Roald Dahl adventure, a boy and his insect friends take an amazing journey across the ocean. This condensed version of Dahl’s beloved book is designed specifically for younger audiences with a show run time approximately one hour.

Director Bethany Verret and music director Margret Celico oversee a cast of fifty-seven students. An additional thirty-five students serve as crew for the performance. Danielle Salisbury is the Drama Club advisor and the producer of the show. The students involved have spent the past 11 weeks learning lines, rehearsing choreography, singing, designing props, building sets, and creating make-up and costumes. The cast is headlined by Caleb Carr as James, Jackson Morin as Ladahlord, Ava White and Allie Butterfield as James’ aunts and Robert Brooks, Ellye Lennon, Liam Salisbury, Mia Schenenga, and Miranda Swartz as his larger than life insect friends.

Cole Middle School Drama Club’s production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr. in Spring 2016 received seven nominations for performance and production by the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild. They won 5 awards for Best Set Design & Execution, Stage Management, Specialty Ensemble and Leading Actor.
