East Greenwich Animal Protection League's 19th Annual Hound Hike Fundraiser to Take Place on Sunday, September 27th
Mark your calendars! EGAPL's Hound Hike, now in its 19th year, is just around the corner.

WHO: The East Greenwich Animal Protection League (EGAPL) is a no-kill 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization which serves all dogs and cats picked up by the East Greenwich Animal Control Officer, animals owned by people who can no longer care for them, as well as animals in urgent need of rescue from other areas as funding permits.
WHAT: Mark your calendars! EGAPL’s Hound Hike, now in its 19th year, is just around the corner. The event has become a tradition for animal lovers, adopters and families from around the community alike. The event is EGAPL’s largest fundraiser of the year, with proceeds going to provide shelter, food and medical care of animals awaiting adoption and to enable the organization to continue saving more lives.
Local vendors will also be on hand with samples of pet-related treats and information. Music, raffles, and a free lunch will also be provided as part of this fun-filled day for a great cause. Fee per hiker $25.00; participants can register the day of the event or download a registration form at

“It’s been an exciting year for EGAPL as we have increased our adoption hours, partnered with great organizations like the Brandi Project, and welcomed many new volunteers to our dedicated team,” said Tammy Flanagan, president, EGAPL. “We are confident this is going to be the biggest and best Hound Hike ever and we hope for a great turnout, as our animals rely on the money we raise at this event to help support us throughout the entire year.”
