East Greenwich Art Festival this Weekend
The fourth-annual East Greenwich Art Festival runs Aug. 23 and 24 at the New England Institute of Technology campus in East Greenwich.

More than 150 artists, “strolling entertainment,” gifts, jewelry, ceramics, paintings, housewares and more will be on display for the always-festive, fourth-annual East Greenwich Art Festival this weekend at the new New England Institute of Technology’s campus on Division Road.
Buy a painting, a flower pot, find a treasure for a loved one or home sweet home. Say hi to the outrageous characters from Big Nazo, take part in a community art project, let the little ones loose in the children’s craft center or simply take a deep breath and enjoy the sights and sounds.
The festival opens at 10 a.m. each day on Saturday and Sunday and will linger until 5 p.m.

The event is put on by Festival Fete, a local organization that set out a few years ago to build a platform for local artists of all sorts, from painters and sculptors to cooks and musicians.
Along with a long list of sponsors, Festival Fete events can draw thousands on a good day and the weather forecast for this weekend is almost ideal. Following a trend of not-overly-hot summers, with daytime highs of 74 and 78 degrees expected for Saturday and Sunday respectively.
