East Greenwich Little League Centreville Blue Jays Beat EG Lions Red Sox, 10-4

It was a picture perfect Saturday as The Centreville Bank Blue Jays matched up against the EG Lions Club Red Sox.

The Red Sox got on the score board first with a Zach Lepre single and a double by Bill Mueller.  The Blue Jays were able to score two runs in their half of the first, on one hit with two walks. They then added seven runs in the second, on 5 walks and 4 hits in the second inning. Ryan ”Donah” Donovan pitched well despite struggling through a little bit of the swine flu. He heard that pigs are committed and may have taken that advice too far. Paul “nickels” Dunwoody came in to close the game and was very effective only hurling 25 pitches and 16 for strikes.  Ross Trinque came into pitch the last three innings and pitched very well for the Red Sox.
