The East Greenwich Historic Preservation Society will hold its first meeting of the fall season on Monday, September 17th.
Our guest speaker is Carol Pesch, a research biologist at the Environmental Protection Agency in Narragansett. Ms. Pesch will give a cultural history of the Greenwich Bay watership - the effects of colonial activity, early agricultural settlements, coastal trade, industrialization and suburbanization after WWII.
The meeting begins with a pot luck supper at 6:30 pm at The Old Jail, 110 King Street. The program begins at 7:30. It is free and open to the public. Please call Susan Curado at 884-4643 for reservations.
