Forest Park Elementary School will be holding its 5th annual 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 20th at 3pm. This year’s race will take place in the neighborhood around the school. This is one of the biggest fundraisers for the elementary school and a healthy way to kick off the fall. Last year the race enjoyed 334 registered runners with an additional 100 supporters and families. This year the race plans to have well over 300 registered runners.
“We are very excited about this opportunity to provide a family-fun event that emphasizes health, fitness and community involvement.” This is a great race for the first time or the seasoned runner. It’s a beautiful scenic course that winds around lovely, quiet, suburban neighborhoods. And this year the course is certified!” This is an event for the whole family to be involved in.
