First East Greenwich Summer Concert is Thursday

The forecast calls for clear skies over Academy Field on Thursday, which means the first summer concert of the season in East Greenwich should be idyllic as well as musical.

The Rockin’ Soul Horns will be bringing their sounds of swing, soul and rhythm and blues to the field. They’re an eight-piece band that promises to put a spring in your step and get everyone grooving.

Next Thursday, One Foot in Band will be on hand for a classic rock extravaganza.

The concerts are free and all ages are welcome. Bring a lawn chair and blanket. If there’s rain, concerts get moved into Swift Gym.

The concerts are hosted by the East Greenwich Parks and Recreation Department.
