Lady Avs Stay Atop Mt. Hope, 34 to 30, in Girls Basketball Game
In a tight game from start to finish, EG won their first game in league play.
The EGHS girls basketball team bested Mt. Hope, 34 to 30. The first half was evenly played with good defense by both sides. The Lady Avengers opened up a 7 point lead by the middle of the second half but Mt. Hope whittled that down to a pair with 10 seconds left. Kiley Powers then calmly sunk two free throws to ice the game.
