New Mental Health Office opens in East Greenwich

A new mental-health office called Fertile Ground opened in East Greenwich recently and is now accepting new patients.

The office is the first private practice of Margaret A. Prunier, a West Warwick resident with four years of experience in mental-health counseling.  Margaret's specialties include rehabilitation counseling, substance-abuse counseling, relationship therapy and spiritual development. She uses mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy to treat depression, anxiety, stress, and issues related to grief and loss.

Fertile Ground accepts United Behavioral Heath (Optum) and Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plans.

Ms. Prunier is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Margaret graduated from Assumption College with a Master of Arts degree and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Rehabilitation Counseling. Margaret is a member of the Rhode Island Mental Health Counselors Association (RIMHCA) and the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
