The town’s building inspector was contacted to conduct an inspection and National Grid disconnected power to the house.
The house is owned by Wells Fargo Bank, according to town records.
STEREO STOLEN
A Saunderstown man reported to police on Jan. 12 that someone stole the stereo out of his company truck while it was parked at town car dealership for repairs.
Police said the truck, a 2004 Ford F250, was parked at Flood Ford on South County Trail from Jan. 7 to 12 for service.
There were no signs of forced entry and nothing else inside the truck was disturbed.
An employee of the dealership said there was no paperwork showing that the truck had the stereo in the dash before it was dropped off, though they agreed to compensate the owner for the loss after some reasearch.
