PHONE STOLEN
An employee of La Masseria told police on Sept. 24 that a cell phone he left in his car outside work was stolen sometime during the evening.

The man said he was working valet when the incident occurred.

The phone, an iPhone 5, was stolen at around 10:30 p.m., police said.

The matter was documented for insurance purposes.

MAN FLEES FROM SECURITY GUARD
On Sept. 25 at around 12:13 a.m., police were contacted by a security guard working at East Greenwich Square at 1000 Division St. who said he was just assaulted by a man who had fled the scene on foot, leaving his truck behind.

Police arrived and saw a handcuffed woman in the back of the security guard’s vehicle.

The guard said he was working a detail when a truck pulled up next to his and the male driver and female passenger asked for directions.

The guard said he could smell alcohol and ordered the two occupants to step out of the vehicle. They did, but the man ran off, leaving the woman behind when the guard tried to detain them.

Police uncuffed the woman and she got a ride home.

The man who ran off, police said, does not have an active license. His truck, a 2002 Ford F-150, was locked and the key was kept by police for safekeeping.

The guard was informed to contact police if he sees illegal activity and to “no longer handcuff or detain citizens if he does not have the proper training or certification to do so,” a police report stated.

CUSTOMER LEAVES BEHIND SOMETHING UNDESIRED

A manager at Exotic Tans on Division Street reported finding a pool of urine in a room used by a customer on Sept. 26 for a spray tanning procedure and wished to file a complaint.

Police said the manager told them that she went into the room to clean a spray-tanning machine and found the urine all over the floor. Some had seeped into a rug and under the machine and the wall.

Police said the manager said she didn’t know if the customer had a medical condition that would cause the incident. She said that the business had had similar incidents with other customers in the past.
