Susan Fonseca, a global leader in women's empowerment, will be on Rocky Hill School's 84-acre waterfront campus all week

EAST GREENWICH, RI - From Rocky Hill School: Rocky Hill School is pleased to welcome its first Innovator-in-Residence, Susan Fonseca. A visionary and a global leader in women’s empowerment, Susan will be on Rocky Hill School’s 84-acre waterfront campus all week. She is well known for designing systems to increase access to STEM fields, entrepreneurism, and school design, and will speak with students and faculty about the process of innovation.

What: Rocky Hill School's first Innovator-in-Residence includes a visit to classrooms on Wednesday, October 4 and a luncheon at the Hope Club in Providence on Thursday, October 5.

Susan Fonseca will have a Q&A with the 3rd grade to discuss the importance of United Nations Global Goal #5, Gender Equality.
Where: Rocky Hill School, Perkins Hall – 3rd Grade Classroom
When: Wednesday, October 4 from 2:30 – 3:05 p.m.
Why: Students will come away with a better understanding of why Gender Equality is one of the 17 U.N. Global Goals.
A LUNCHEON WITH SUSAN FONSECA: Empowering Women Around the World
Women in leadership roles throughout Rhode Island will attend this event. See attached guest list.
Where: The Hope Club (the Ballroom), 6 Benevolent Street, Providence, RI 02906
When: Thursday, October 5 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Why: An opportunity for female influencers in Rhode Island to hear Fonseca’s inspiring message about empowering women on a global scale.
About Susan Fonseca
Susan Fonseca is an internationally recognized thought leader and advocate for empowering women. An anthropologist and lawyer, Susan grew up in Honduras and has been a keynote speaker at NASA, Forbes Women, Clinton Foundation, Future of Americas Summit, APEC, IDB Demand Solutions, STEM Summit, and TEDx.
During her impressive career, Susan negotiated diplomatic and international collaboration with Central American presidents, ambassadors, U.S. State officials, and industry CEOs that culminated in the successful vote and passage of the U.S. & Dominican Republic – Central American Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA). In addition, she has produced technical and scientific conferences (e.g., Life Extension Conference, Singularity Summits, Aging Conference, Convergence 08).
Susan’s focus is to create strategic alliances and global networks that empower, inspire, and drive positive change.
