Safe at Home - a forum intended upon educating adults about underage drinking.

Dear Parents and Community,

The prom and graduation season is upon us. While students enjoy the year-end festivities many adults worry that the use of alcohol is, all too often, a part of the mix.

On Monday, May 8th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, St. Luke’s Church will be the site for Safe at Home - a forum intended upon educating adults about underage drinking.

The East Greenwich Drug Program and Youth to Youth will sponsor an event that will feature speeches from Richard Morsilli, Judge Brian Stern, local Resource Officers and youth from leadership organizations.

There is much that adults can do in terms of addressing underage drinking. Modeling behavior, knowing the Social Host Law and gaining more information on the impact alcohol has on teens are starters. Come and learn how you can be a part of ensuring this time of year is a safe one.

Please make every effort to attend a program that augments the communities’ efforts to promote health and safety for kids. Let us make sure that Prom and Graduation season(s) are remembered for all of the right reasons.
