The Savory Grape Hosts a "Red Out" in Support of the American Heart Association

East Greenwich, RI: The Savory Grape, Rhode Island’s premier wine shop, will be decked out in red on February 6, 2015 in recognition of National Wear Red Day. The Savory Grape’s storefront and interior will be lit up red from 5-8pm. All staff will be sporting red attire, and heart healthy nibbles will be served. A portion of the proceeds from red wine sales during the “red out” will be donated to the Southern New England chapter of the America Heart Association (AHA).

“We consider it a privilege to be a part of this awareness movement,” stated Jessica Granatiero, proprietor of The Savory Grape and board member of the Southern New England chapter of the AHA. “Changing behavior to more heart healthy choices all begins with shining a light on the issue.”

Go Red for Women is an effort of the American Heart Association to encourage awareness of heart disease in women, as well as action to save more lives. The movement employs the passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges women to know their risk for heart disease and also gives them the tools they need to lead a heart healthy life.

“I hope people will consider dropping by on February 6 in recognition of those loved ones in their lives that are affected by heart disease and stroke,” continued Granatiero.
