Signs Point to Possible Norman's Tap Reopening
The property has been removed from the town's tax sale list after a recent payment of $37,000 to clear up back taxes, town officials confirmed.
If you've missed Norman's Tap on Main Street, there's hope.
The property has been removed from the town's tax sale list after a recent payment of $37,000 to clear up back taxes, town officials confirmed.
And a glance of Norman's Facebook page shows that after several months of no activity, a picture of a pint of beer was posted on June 13 with the caption: "Got That Feeling....."
Norman's was put on the town's tax sale list earlier this year and was ordered closed after the business fell behind on its taxes. The Town Council did not renew its licenses after several extensions were granted late last year.
To reopen, the business would need to re-apply for its victualling and liquor license and it could be at least a month before they apply, if they do.Â
Stay tuned, and if it turns out Norman's will soon hoist a "now open" sign, we'll let you know.
Update:Â Norman's is poised to reopen after applying for a new liquor license.
