State: Goddard Park Beach Can Re-Open For Swimming
HIgh bacteria levels prompted officials to make the recommendation to close the beach earlier this week.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — Goddard Park State Beach can reopen for swimming, the health department said Saturday. Earlier this week, officials monitoring the water found high bacteria levels there and recommended closing it. The state will continue to sample the water quality.
The status of a beach may change daily, the health department noted. The most up-to-date beach information is available through a recorded message on RIDOH's beaches telephone line (401-222-2751).
