State Police Charge Two East Greenwich Drivers in Separate Incidents

One motorist was driving under the influence, police allege. The other was wanted on a court warrant.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — On Friday Dec. 23, at 12:03 a.m., Troopers arrested Albert Arcand, 49, of East Greenwich for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor, first offense and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, first offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Post Road, East Greenwich. Arcand was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

On Sunday, Dec. 18 at 12:29 p.m., Kristopher Richard, 20, of East Greenwich was arrested for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment. The original charge was Driving on a Suspended License – Third Offense originating out of the East Greenwich Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, Warwick. Richard was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correction Institute Men's-Intake Center.
