The Hound Hike Countdown is On!

Only 25 days left until EGAPL's biggest fundraiser of the year; find out how to get involved

Wow, I can hardly believe it's already September...where DID the summer go?! In any case, September means cooler weather, kids back in school, AND the East Greenwich Animal Protection League Hound Hike - our biggest fundraiser of the year! We're really counting on this event to be a big success to help us save many more lives in the year ahead and we need YOUR help. So what can you do to get ready for the Hound Hike?

1) Print and fill out the registration form that's right here and bring it with you to the event on September 29th along with your $20 registration donation. Forgot your form? No problem - we'll have plenty available on site, too
2) Ask your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers - anyone you can think of! - for a sponsorship donation. Remember, no amount is too big or small and 100% of donations go to saving and caring for homeless animals. We appreciate every $1.
3) Get your pooch ready! If you're planning to bring your own canine companion to enjoy the walk please make sure they're healthy, up-to-date on shots, and leashed. Don't have a pup? No problem - you can adopt one from EGAPL! Or just walk solo; dogs are NOT required to participate although they are welcome!
4) Come to Goddard Park at 12pm on Sunday, September 29th rain or shine for a great day! Registration will take place at the carousel/beach area. The 2 mile walk starts at 1pm. Local vendors will also be on hand with samples of pet-related treats and information. Music, raffles, and a free lunch will also be provided as part of this fun-filled day for a great cause.

Sounds pretty easy, right? Right! We hope to see you all there on September 29th and please tell your friends, too! Please be a hero to a homeless animal in our community. As always, thank you for your support.
