Autopsy Today on Body Found in Water
East Providence police think they know the identify of the body found washed up on land near the Squantum Association next to the bike path.

The identity of the body found by a walker along the East Bay Bike Path near the Squantum Association in East Providence on Sunday morning is expected to be confirmed today, Dec. 11, after an autopsy is completed.
"We think we know who it is," said East Providence Det. Capt. Richard Frazier on Monday. "But the autopsy won't be done until Tuesday."
The body of the man appears to have been washed up on land. It was reported to East Providence police around 8:30 am.

The body was turned over to the Rhode Island medical examiner's office to try to determine the identity. It appears to have been in the Providence River for some time.
East Providence Police Lt. Raymond Blinn said on Sunday that there were no apparent indications of what caused the man's death.
