BAY VIEW ACADEMY STUDENTS EARN NATIONAL TOP 10 RANKINGS FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE STUDY OF FRENCH

East Providence, RI – Five Bay View Academy World Languages students attained top national and/or Rhode Island rankings for excellence on Le Grand Concours 2014 National French Contest. The annual competition is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. Each year, this contest offers students studying French at all levels the unique opportunity to showcase their abilities through a written test, allowing them to compete against students with similar educational backgrounds for prizes. Participation in Le Grand Concours attracts numerous participants and this year was no exception; there were nearly 1,200 students from Rhode Island alone.

Top 10 winners in the state and the nation are invited to the Annual Prize Ceremony for Students of French in Rhode Island, taking place at East Greenwich High School on Tuesday, May 20th at 6:30 PM.
