BAY VIEW ACADEMY STUDENTS RECEIVE TOP AWARDS AT THE RHODE ISLAND SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FAIR

East Providence, RI – Twelve Bay View Academy students successfully competed at the Rhode Island Science and Engineering Fair (RISEF), garnering First, Second and Third Grant awards, as well as the esteemed Best in Fair title. Bay View eighth grader, Kailey Williams, won one of only two “Best in Fair” awards given in the junior division. Inspired by the repeated need to repair her dance shoes, Kailey tested numerous threads for stretch and strength for her project, titled Thread Strength. RISEF took place on Saturday, March 15th at CCRI in Warwick, RI. The Bay View students in attendance were selected based on their accomplishments at Bay View’s Science Fair.
