Body Found Along Shoreline Identified
An autopsy has confirmed that the body is a Providence man reported missing and a possible 'bridge jumper' on Nov. 9, according to East Providence police.

The body found on the East Providence shoreline on Sunday, Dec. 9, has been positively identified as Thomas M. Sullivan, 46, of Providence.
East Providence Det. Capt. Richard Frazier said Sullivan was reported missing and a possible "bridge jumper" by the Rhode Island State Police on Nov. 9. His body washed up on the shoreline along the East Bay Bike Path near the Squantum Association in East Providence. A walker found the body around 8:30 am.
"We think we know who it is," said Frazier on Monday.

An autopsy completed by the RI Medical Examiner's office confirmed the identity of the body on Wednesday, he said.
The body appeared on Sunday to have been in the Providence River for some time. There were no indications of what caused the man's death when it was found.
