BARRINGTON, RI — The state medical examiner is still determining the cause of Justine Cavaco's death, according to Joseph Wendelken, spokesman for the health department. Cavaco, 29, died at Rhode Island Hospital after she was assaulted Saturday night outside a fast food restaurant on Broad Street in Providence. According to published reports, she was a Barrington resident. But her Facebook page says she lived in East Providence. She had been graduated from Barrington High and attended Community College of Rhode Island.

Cavaco's boyfriend is facing charges in connection with her death. Christian Boucher, 40, of Riverside, was arraigned in Sixth District Court where he was charged with Domestic Felony Assault. No plea was entered.
